Truth, lies and religion debated live by RNCD and ICIE

Live with the theme “Truth, Lies and Religion: from the beginnings of the Christian era to the present” will take place on July 5th, on the RNCD Brasil channel on YouTube.

The phenomenon of disinformation is not something new, but it has gained strength in recent years, especially due to the advancement of the internet and the possibilities of interaction that social media allows.

In this scenario, the sharing of misleading news is growing and has been a warning point for scholars and researchers. This phenomenon of misinformation even strongly permeates religions.

To reflect jointly on the subject, RNCD Brasil and the ICIE- International Center for Information Ethics will hold a live broadcast on July 5th with the theme “Truth, Lies and Religion: from the beginnings of the Christian era to the present”.

At the meeting, guests Magali Cunha (General Editor of Coletivo Bereia), Rafael Capurro (Founder of ICIE), Júlio Piffero (Director of DPB-CAPES) and Gustavo Saldanha (IBICT Researcher and Unirio professor) will discuss the subject. The moment will be mediated by Marco Schneider (president of ICIE, senior researcher at IBICT and UFF professor).
