Formación universitaria en ética de la información en el Uruguay: análisis y comparación conceptual con otros modelos de currículum del área
Description
The paper briefly introduces the historical development of information ethics, its tasks and the importance of its teaching in the university training of information professionals for the current information and knowledge society. Next, three university teaching models in information ethics are presented: Pittsburgh, Pretoria and the University of the Republic (Uruguay), to compare them from the curricular point of view. Finally, as a result of this previous analysis, a series of recommendations are established for the re-elaboration of the training program for information professionals in information ethics in Uruguay, which aims at strengthening and consolidating training instances in ethical issues at university level.
