The 5th meeting of the International Center for Information Ethics – ICIE

The 1st International Conference on Information Integrity will take place from November 21 to 22, 2024, in conjunction with the 5th Meeting of the International Center for Information Ethics – ICIE and the 1st Meeting of the National Network to Combat Disinformation – RNCD. The combined event highlights the joint efforts of institutions that have been vigorously combating the various forms of disinformation within and outside the country.

The event promises to be a theoretical, institutional and best practice milestone in the fight against disinformation and in favor of information ethics. The proximity to the date of the G20 is no coincidence. The organization intends to take advantage of the presence of several world authorities in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to expand the debates beyond the confines of universities and research institutions.

The event is organized by the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology – IBICT, the International Center for Information Ethics – ICIE and the National Network to Combat Disinformation – RNCD, and is sponsored by CNPq and Faperj, in addition to the support of the Network for Studies in Information Science on Disinformation – Recides, the Coinfo Network, and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ.

The Conference will be held in person and will take place in the ground floor auditorium of the Brazilian Center for Physics Research – CBPF, where the IBICT is located in Rio de Janeiro: Rua Lauro Müller, 455, Botafogo.
